I'm not a photographer. I'm a mom. I'm a literacy coach. I'm a reader. I'm not an artist, but I appreciate art. I'm a scrapbooker, but not as much as I want to be. I'm a musician, but mostly I'm in love with music. I'm in a relationship with my soul mate -- and I didn't used to believe in soul mates! I'm politically active. I've spent countless hours in front of my computer blogging, but I don't do that much any more (I don't have the hours, I have a toddler)! In a span of seven months I became a "new" old mom, a mother-in-law, and a grandmother. In a few more months I turned 40. And now? Well, nearly three months after turning 40, I've started a new project. I've always loved photographs; mine, others, old and contemporary. I got my first Pentax K1000 when I was in seventh grade. I "do" photography even less than art, music, scrapbooking, etc. In fact, saying I "do" photography at all is probably a lie. But I want to get better! I've been on Flickr (orangegearle) for more than four years, but my relationship with it has been, at best sporadic. I recently joined a group on flickr that challenges it's members to shoot everyday and post your best or most interesting photo; just one, but daily. I'm taking the challenge! Through that venue I also found blipfoto. I thought it might be fun to combine my new challenge with an old interest, blogging, and that makes blipfoto perfect. Not quite blogging, not just a photo. Anyway, I guess we'll just see where this takes me!
