I am a former newspaper journalist who, after getting laid off, now does clerical work at the state's flagship university nestled in the Ozark mountains of Arkansas. I have been doing photography both as an amateur and professionally for about a quarter of century now. I am hugely inspired by William Eggleston in that we both share the same interest: celebrating the ordinary. I also love shooting images of Americana, whether it be an old diner, a weathered gas pump, tattered signs advertising souvenirs -- it doesn't matter.

Most of my photos here are taken with a low-end Android smartphone with only 3 megapixels, but that's not to say I won't drag out my DSLR and post images shot with it in the near future. The smartphone is merely more convenient as I almost always have it with me when I stumble across a gem of subject that must be captured.
