I started this, like many here, as a means to force myself to think more photographically, if that makes sense. I think of myself as a keen photographer with much to learn, but I am still at the stage where I am keen when I remember I am keen. I forget I am keen on a daily basis and then suddenly I'll see the perfect shot and wish I had my camera with me.

I joined in the project here to force myself to try and see the perfect shot every day. With a 5meg camera on my phone in my pocket almost all day every day I really don't have any excuse not too. How hard can it be to take one meaningful photo a day?

It turns out it's harder than you'd think. The first six months or so was good and I hardly missed a day. But since then it's become harder. Perhaps I have become too discerning about what I put in the public domain. Or perhaps I've just gotten a bit lazy. Either way, I need to do more!

I long for the day when our eyes can capture digital images. We'd never miss the perfect shot then.

I spent a year or so studying for a diploma in photography and also have had a few days formal Photoshop training. I am hopefully improving but still hungry to learn. Lightroom is a recent purchase and I can highly recommend that.
