Now back in the U.S.

It's hard to believe its been over five years since I posted my first blip! At times I've posted pretty regularly, at other times it's been more erratic, but I've kept going.
Having just moved to France for a couple of years, I felt that was an appropriate time to update my biography.

We've been asked several times over the last few weeks "Where are you from?" So, do we say England, where we were born and grew up - well, technically, my husband Roger was born and grew up in Guernsey! Or do we say the States, where we have been living for the last 17 years, or do we say France, where we are currently living and also lived between 1986 and 96?! If "home is where the heart is", then home for me would still be England, where I was born and grew up, and still have family, despite it being many years since we have lived there. But logically speaking I suppose people would say its the States, where we own a house, have spent the biggest part of our lives, and where two of our three children live - the third one is currently serving with the Peace Corps in Macedonia, so who knows where she'll end up?!

After God and my family, the great loves of my life are music, nature, travel, knitting, cross-stitch, hiking, biking and of course photography.

So, about my journal name and user name. "A time for everything" is taken from Ecclesiastes 3:

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

My user name turnx3 is taken from the Byrds song "Turn, turn, turn", which was also based on the same passage
