Nameless Stack

As planned, we (me and the Moores) headed off out for a walk. I didn't know where we were going and didn't much care but it turned out the modest plan was to drive to Anstruther and walk to Crail. Cafe lunch, bus back and drive home. Sounded like a good plan to me.

The walk is well worth it even thought it's only four miles or so, although it would be wise to read up on the geology before setting off as there seems to be tons more than the obvious and loads of fossilisation to be seen, if you know you're supposed to be looking for it. Finding out while looking for a name for this network of eroded caves and archways in a sandstone stack is less useful. And the stack doesn't seem to have a name either.
