Friday 20 April 2012: Lunch time
I had an appointment down in Monaco today (Nelson) so ducked down to the jetty to see if there was anything happening birdwise. Well, really to see if there were any kingfishers about, but there weren't. In fact I've not seen any back here this season which is odd.
Instead this white faced heron was having lunch. I was a millisecond too late to press the shutter and the crab he was tossing down his throat is already past the point of no return.
