All that glitters...

... is not gold.

But this grasshoppers back sure looks like it.

I found this wee chap hanging out on a grass stalk today. I photographed him because I liked the gold lining on him, but when I got him up on the computer screen I noticed the gold in his eye too.

Even more than that, I noticed those feet. Wow! I never knew grasshoppers feet were so unusual - not that I had ever thought about the subject before but I will now whenever I see one.
