I've been interested in photography since my dad gave me a Kodak Brownie Vecta when I was about 8. He was an enthusiast too, but I've no idea what sort of stills camera he had. I do still have his movie camera and projector. He used to develop my b/w films at work and it was always exciting when he brought home a new envelope full of (usually rubbish) prints. Having dragged a heavy old SLR around for a long time (backache!), my current one is a dream, although I have tons to learn still. I'm discovering more about my iphone too, I use it more than the SLR. And I LOVE a photography exhibition.

One of the very special things about Blipfoto is the kindness and friendliness of the community, seeing how people record their lives, different journal styles, and the huge range of interests. Seeing journals from the other side of the world - what people grow in their gardens and the city/landscapes they live in is really special. I am so glad to be here.
