Dear Blippers,

I'm starting this journal for my friend in the UK, he's approximately 10,000 miles away, so hopefully this will bring us a little closer! He bought me my new camera, and this is a great way of showing him I do actually use it from time to time.

I'm also hoping that this site helps me improve my somewhat banal photographing style, and lets me discover a way of looking, and capturing images in a more creative and original way. It might also persuade me to take the camera settings off "Auto" every now and then, and learn how to use the other functions, like "flash" (whatever that might be!) for example.

Anyone else who happens to stumble across my blips, well please excuse the terrible snaps that I'm sure will crop up from time to time.
