ALBUMEN ARGENTUM
Perhaps it began many years ago when I was in a bar describing to my companions my idea of a series of photographs of people's hands. I remember that at the time that although I had a camera this was still no more than a vague notion in my head but since I was trying to impress the gorgeous girlfriend of an alpha male, my description was earnest and exaggerated. During the conversation a man sidled over to us and explained that he worked for a small gallery in London and that he would be interested in seeing my work. I was so taken aback, I suddenly felt that I had been found out and was about to be exposed as a photographer fraud. As a result I was reduced to mumbling about not being really ready to show anything since it was still work in progress. This wasn't true and in fact it never became a work in progress. Now, years later, I have acquired a couple of old 35mm film cameras and a stock of film that a friend gave me. So now I start for real. When I get the prints developed I take a digital photograph of the result.  I am very keen to receive criticism on my photographs, as ungentle as you like as I plan to fail better.
