Hi! I'm Cheeseminer: parent-to-adult-sons, Quaker, retired software engineer and karate black belt, with a penchant for trains, model making, folk music and "German" board games. A Day Worth Recording is my first ever journal that has lasted beyond a week. That it has lasted 11 years now, is somewhere between amazing and ridiculous.

In 2014 we gave up our jobs in Cambridge and bought a B&B in Malvern -  huge and needing repair; the garden enormous and crying out for restoration, and there are hills hills HILLS on the doorstep.

2020: OK, so fewer hills-as-novelty blips now, but a continuing collection of lifted floorboards.  The garden is largely recovered and regularly open to the public (between apocalypses).  Still plenty to do.
