UPDATE

Ive returned after a year away from Blip. My son is now 2.5 and I gave birth to a baby girl in March 2013. I'm currently on maternity leave and hoping to spend my days capturing blips to look back on.

PREVIOUSLY

I started blipping on the 6th April 2011 with no idea of how this would take over my life. Yeah sure people told me it's addictive but I never really comprehended what that meant So what does it mean to me...

-Seeing the world through blip eyes (everything is a potential blip)
-Trailing the countryside at stupid o'clock trying to find something magical (chasing rainbows)
-Buying an SLR after about 10 days after joining blip and not even knowing anything about how one works
-Rushing home with excitement to download my pictures and see what goodies i've captured
-Going through a process of elimination on a good day to decide which one is blipworthy
-Looking through other blippers shots and thinking "How on earth did they do that, i wish i could be that good"
-Trying new places out to find a little blippers jewel then visiting it umpteen times but getting something different each time.
-My life now revolves around blipping and my 18 month son.

About me:

-Married for 7 years
- 30 years old
-Live in the North East of England
-Have an 18 month old son
-Getting into this photography malarky very quickly
-Work in Newcastle as a secretary

Pros and cons of blipping

Pros
-I now have a hobby in common with my husband so we can blip together
-Blipping gets me out and about
-Blipping gets me trying out new places
-I get plenty exercise
-I have a new interest that excites me
-My son comes blipping with me in his pushchair
-I see things through different eyes, infact i actually notice more around me now
-I get to see other peoples awesome shots and have banter whilst i'm on

Cons
-I wanted a new camera, then i wanted a new lens, now i want another new lens (all in the space of a month). Blipping doesn't have to be expensive but i'm the type of person who finds a new hobby and has to go straight out getting all the kit. Mind you i'm not regretting it :-)
