Update January 2023
Two years on blipfoto has been wonderful - I’ve learnt so much and in some ways just scratched the surface. This year I’m wanting to emmerse myself in a diploma in myth cosmology and the sacred. Already it feels like I’m exploring the mountains and deep waters of the internal landscape, as well of the wider cosmos. My time with blip 2023 may be limited - but Im glad to be here, and grateful for all blip has to offer
Hello, I’m feeling it’s time I introduced myself having been on blip just over a month now. I’m Claire and I live in Harrogate, N Yorkshire.
I joined Blip 1st January 2021 after seeing the weather photos shown in the Guardian on Facebook. In April last year I was inspired after seeing a photo my brother had taken of the moon to get a Panasonic DC-FZ82 60x zoom camera, one of the highlights of last year was taking pictures of the woodpecker and jay families fledging and feeding in the garden. I joined blip to find people with whom I could share my love of photography and liked the idea of sharing a daily visual journey. I see myself as an enthusiastic rather than technical photographer. I’d like to be able to use more than the auto setting and I hope that will come in time through this community.
I love the natural world, particularly birds, trees and weather phenomena.
I also take plenty of photos on my iPhone 7.
