Hi everyone...my name is Sue and I am very much looking forward to daily blips. I live in East Sussex, near Eastbourne, so have the beautiful South Downs and coast on my doorstep. My blip name Devon Dumpling derives from my having been born in South Devon and growing up there until I was eighteen, and is an affectionate name for girls or 'Maids' as they say.
I had an interesting time from the age of eighteen when, besides my civilian job I was in the Territorial Army and became an HGV driver mechanic. Only three years, but great experience. I then married a soldier in the Royal Signals, and for the next twenty years constantly moved around, living in France, Belgium, Cyprus, Harrogate, N Yorkshire, Salisbury, Germany and Northern Ireland, before finally settling down in Eastbourne.
My life is full. I love Line dancing...go to classes four times a week. I also practice Iyengar Yoga, swim, cycle and love gardening. I am passionate about cinema and try and see something once or twice a week. I particularly love everything about old Hollywood, and the 40's and 50's.
Finally BOOKS! I love to read.
I have a lovely family including four fabulous Grandsons who live in Southampton...my wonderful daughter and son-in-law, and a son who lives in Lewes. My husband Pete and I are enjoying retirement!
