As I reach 3000 blips I realise how much my world has changed in the past couple of years.
Most significantly, my husband, John, died from his dementia in June 2024. Since then I have left my job with the council to focus on my socially engaged photography work. And then I was diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer. I’m hoping that the next 1000 days are a little less eventful, but I’m confident that I’ll be recording them here on blip.
Thought an updated biography was probably due after 2000 blips.
Between working half time in a local authority public health team, caring for husband, J, who struggles with his health and general life, there's not a lot of time for "me" - though blip makes sure I carve out at least a few moments each day to look for an image to share. I've also just completed an MA in socially engaged photography, which has given me another chance to rediscover my personal creativity, and to share the magic of photography with others. We'll see where the rest of the journey takes us!
