I have retired from two careers, finance and farming.  I split my time between Clerkenwell and the Chilterns.  I love photography and travelling to remote places particularly the polar regions.

I am a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society and a member of a really friendly photographic society, the City of London & Cripplegate Photographic Society (there are a few of us here!).  My website is hilarybarton and here is my Instagram account.

I like doing courses and projects:
- in 2021 the Foundation course for the BA Hons in Photography at the Open College of the Arts (OCA)
- in 2022 their fascinating Psychogeography short course
- in 2023 three projects with the RPS Landscape interest group: Postcards from Home, The Shipping Forecast, and Making a Zine
- in 2024 I am looking forward to a project with the RPS Digital Imaging group on Books and 'Zines
- and a photography and bookmaking course in Margate.
