I joined blip about nine years ago, when discovering that my partner was expecting our first child.

The blip began by offering me encouragement to improve my photography skills but quickly evolved into a documentation of family life.

I go through phases of using my DSLR and phases of sticking to my phone camera.  I'd still love to take better photos but my priorities are now formed around my family - and the immediacy of a camera.

Thanks to all the people that follow this journal.  I appreciate all the comments, even if I'm slow at responding.

It's been a good innings but when I finally make it to my 10 year anniversary on Blip, I'm going to call it a day.  I've really enjoyed posting on here but the app doesn't work with my latest phone (Pixel 6 Pro) so this is becoming quite a chore.

I'm also posting to Instagram so it feels that this site is now a little redundant.  It's a shame as I've loved the journey and the people within the community, but times change, and I'm afraid Blip is still broadly the same as it was 10 years ago (minus the Polaroid point).

If you want to follow me, you can find my public running posts here, and my personal photos here.  Once this account stops, I'll be posting more on Instagram.

Don't worry mum, I'll set you up!!! :)
