I moved to North-West Tasmania from Newcastle (just north of Sydney) in March 2011 with my husband. It's a wonderful place with beautiful mountain, rural, river and ocean views every way you look, and the slightly cooler climate we were seeking. We have bought a house that was built in 1922 and are having fun renovating it and planting lots of vegies in the garden. Here's a picture of the beach about 2kms from where we now live.
