I am new to using a camera other than my phone, which I have relied on for years.  I am learning as I go and am inspired by so many of the photos I see on this site.

I live in the Eastern United States, splitting my time between the Delaware shores and the Philadelphia suburbs. But I also travel for work as far north as Burlington VT and as far south - and west - as San Antonio Texas.

One thing I have discovered I love in the past few years is long-distance driving. I love to plan a route and leave plenty of time for road-side attractions and the little local places not often mentioned on Yelp. So a camera seems to be a natural companion.
