I hope that this will get me off my backside and do something each day but I promise it will not be 'deep' or thought provoking - I am too thick for that

Edit 5/11/07 Well I have reached 200 clicks in 202 days (1 shot removed for rule breaking and 1 day when the entry just 'vanished') and I have to thank you all for that with your encouragement and comments..........well - most comments anyway. LOL.     I also have to blame you all for your encouragement and comments - I now have NO LIFE.

29/8/12
I have just realised that it is nearly 5 years since I put anything new here.
5 years ........... scary that I have been here this long.
So, in a nutshell, what has happened in that time?..... both my parents have passed away,  my daughter has married and given me 2 wonderful grandchildren (although I do get to give them back when they are not so wonderful) and my son has moved to Englandshire and is getting married next year.
Apart from that --- not a lot has changed and life continues to wash over me and I struggle to keep my head above the water but below the parapet.

2020............ Where has the time gone? I can't remember it slipping by so quickly - but then again, there are so many things I can't remember these days.
But that is what Blip is for and one of the main reasons I do it. When my father was slipping away to dementia and had forgotten who I was and had little comprehension of what was going on around him, looking at the pictures he had taken in the past would bring a smile to his face and a twinkle to his eyes - somewhere deep inside, memories were being triggered.

Since my last 'update' I have acquired two more beautiful, very smart granddaughters which I do not see often enough dur to them staying  down south.
