Lucky enough to live in the beautiful west of Scotland, I've finally joined blipfoto with a view to recording some local images and to capture some sights on my travels for work around Scotland (and occasionally the wider UK).

Chose TV's Mr Benn for my avatar as the daily search for a suitable photo opportunity is a bit like seeking out a new adventure every day [but without the need for constant costume changes or the assistance of a strange shopkeeper!]

Update (September 2019) – 1500 blips later…
4+ years in, I’ve still managed to take and upload a photo every day. Opportunity for subject variety is not quite what it was – I’m no longer spending half my week travelling the country with my work, instead being based in one location. So it seems appropriate to ‘retire’ my Mr Benn avatar, as the sense of adventure in seeking a daily blip now rarely involves much travel.

Update January 2023 - now retired.
A few years ago, as a random exercise and out of curiosity just to measure the number, I had planned to keep a rolling total of how many movies I watched in a year. This was certainly pre-pandemic, before the rise of streaming and box-set bingeing, when I went to the cinema more often and bought more blu-rays. I somehow didn't get round to it at the time. I'm not one for New Year resolutions, but for some reason that popped in to my head again, so I'm thinking I may run with it now, as having a daily Blip entry can give me a way to record it on an ongoing basis - if I remember. So you may well see random mention of movie titles in my Blips; probably just ongoing total and titles rather than reviews.
