I fell in love with photography when I was given my first camera at 12, and have never lost that love. I had upgraded myself in the past to an SLR camera, but, with the switch to digital, it took me a while to finally be able to buy a DSLR.

Having been unable to work for a while, my camera has reawakened my enthusiasm for finding that elusive perfect shot. I'm not sure I'm always even close, but find that forcing myself to take a photo a day makes me work harder to find an image worth taking.

Living on the south coast of the UK, not far from the South Downs, I tend towards nature and landscape photography, but have found the photo a day project sometimes takes me outside that field and into, for me, previously unexplored territory. I don't consider that to be a bad thing.

As a rule I do not edit (except where and as stated) - the shot taken is the one that appears on the screen.
