On April 2nd 2014 I finished working as a teachers assistant, now six months later I thought that the time was right for me to complete a profile for my Blip journal.
Encouraged by the work friend who introduced me to Blip, I discovered that this was the perfect way for me to start recording the next chapter of my life.
So here goes, I live with Mr H in a wonderful old market town near Cambridge, England, surrounded by many friends and both our daughters Miss C and Miss M who both live not too far away.
I trained as a Nursery Nurse in 1976 and my favourite film at the time was Mary Poppins  (hence my call sign.)
I feel very blessed to have worked in the magical world of children for most of my life and I did wonder how I would manage without them when I moved on.
So far I have enjoyed every moment of my new life feeling rather like a big kid with a box of assorted excitements.
Every day brings a new adventure and I love spending more time with the people who matter most to me, I love cooking, holidaying and working through the list of jobs that I have been avoiding  for years (I still have not completed them all yet,  too busy doing nothing in particular.)
I have loved being part of the Blip world family. Everyone in the world understands the language of photography and although my photos are very amateurish in comparison to many that I view each day I hope that they capture precious  moments in my life and prevent them from running away.
I plan to continue with Blips and you are welcome to view and critique my offerings if you wish.
Life is not measured by the breaths that we take but by the moments that take our breath away.
