Living in east London. Been learning photography for a few years and continually trying to improve. I love photography - it makes you look at things in a new way. I heard about Blip a few months ago and have decided to take the plunge - but it looks like a tough discipline taking and posting a picture every day! Will I keep it up?

After two years I was a Blip Addict. Then I threw my toys out of the pram with the so-called "merger" with Polaroid which entailed a reduction in the stuff you could previously do with your pictures. But after two weeks I slunk back but have decided I am not going to feel the pressure of having to Blip every day.

But by June 2015 I have been Blipping (virtually) every day.

Anyway, my interests are cycling, music (all sorts but not brass bands and not more than one minute of rap at a time, thanks very much). Art , cinema , London, blah blah...all the usual stuff.

Looking back its hard to tell if my pictures have improved. I am in awe of some Blippers' photos, in particular some of the processing that they use to produce enthralling results. I am trying but tend to stick to LightRoom. Perhaps I should relearn Elements. I have also loaded the Nik Collection which I find are very useful, especially the Mono application.

By the beginning of March 2013 I managed to complete over 100 entries so I joined as a member. This means I can post a picture of myself. Here it is and hope it doesnt scare you too much.

Update October 2016. Why the LaPalmyre bit? Well, when I joined it seemed everyone used a cryptic name and this was the best I could think of. La Palmyre is the seaside village in western France where I go for most of my holidays. I've Blipped it a lot during the summer periods.

Update Feb 2107: I have dumped the LaPalmyre reference because I think it made things too complicated. I have just passed the 3 year mark and I think I am definitely addicted. I keep losing momentum and wanting to give up. But can't , in large part because of you Blipmates - I don't want to lose contact with you. Also don't you agree that it is a time consumer? Fun though.
As my Mum used to say "We'll see".

2020: Well, an update is due now that we are in the lockdown crisis of the century. I have actually managed to persuade some chums to join up and I have reached the stage where it would be bad luck to give up. So I've just got to keep plugging on.
