I am a 50-year old Norwegian living in the northern part of Norway. Photographing is for me a hobby, and has been so since I was a teenager. However, I have to admit that my dedication has been a bit on and off during the years. Sometimes I find a lot of inspiration, and can shot many, many pictures every day. Sometimes my cameraes lay in their bags for months, untouched and unused

What does photographing mean for me? Well, first of all I want to capture the light. Simple as that.  Living where I do, we have a lot of varieties when it comes down to light. In summer,  we have the midnight sun. The night is as bright as the day. In winter is is dark, very dark. From the beginning of December to mid January (polar night),  the sun is below the horizon. When the sky is clear, you can see dazzling norhtern lights above your head. Midnight sun, northern light, polar night, and quite "spectacular" nature - there is a lot of different light to capture, beaty to find and  memories to preserve!
