the sociologist erving goffman eloquently uses the picture frame to explain how people organize their daily experiences. he used the picture frame concept to illustrate how people use the frame--which represents structure--to hold together their picture--which represents the context--of what they are experiencing in their life. photographs are one representation, or frame analysis, of how people put their lives into context. photographs construct a general statement regarding the structure, or form, of experiences individuals have at any moment of their social life.

on that note, i am a novice in the field of photography. i am untrained and just bought my first camera. any suggestions are helpful, but i do not even pretend that my photos are decent, insightful, or artsy. i take pictures for fun and hope to slowly gain some skill. rnrn
