After having lived in the Fraser Valley for over 40 years, my love and I followed our hearts and pursued a dream.  Taking a risk, we sold our home and purchased another on 10 acres two hours northeast.  We left behind the family we love fiercely and all that was familiar to live on a mountain 20km’s from the nearest town.  The house we purchased was 6 years old but had never been fully completed so within a few days of moving we began renovations.  It is now 4 months that we’ve lived up here and we already have so many stories!  There are days that it still feels like a dream but then I pinch myself just to be sure.  How incredibly beautiful, serene and peaceful this new land is.  We are so grateful that she’s welcomed us with open arms.

Here’s to taking risks, living our dream and walking out new adventures!

December 2016

I live in the Pacific Northwest in the Lower Mainland near Vancouver, British Columbia.  I love making memories and telling a story with my images.  For as long as I can remember I’ve owned a camera, but it’s only been in recent years that it's become a passion I've intentionally dedicated more time to. Photography has become like meditation to me. A spiritual, intellectual and sensual journey of discovery.  A gift.

I love looking for light through my lens and have many opportunities while on my walks and hikes or while enjoying my peaceful backyard.  Nature and being outdoors is my happy place so many of my images will reflect the beauty I find myself in. I also enjoy shooting candid lifestyle images - capturing those unexpected 'moments'.

I've been married to the love of my life for a whole lotta years and my 3 kids have given me the best gifts ever!  8 grandkids!  Sadly, it's rare that any of them stand still enough to pose willingly to let me take their photos, so usually, I unapologetically resort to some form of bribery.

Here's hoping you're encouraged and inspired as you visit my journal.
