Blipping and Blogging: My Story
My story started years ago when I was teaching in elementary and middle school. After many busy years in the classroom, I decided it was time to retire; so one June morning, as the school year ended, I said goodbye to life in the classroom, and headed outdoors. With extra time on my hands and a new digital camera in my backpack, I began walking the trails near my home in northeast Ohio. In the years since then, trailwalking, backyard birding, and photography have become sources of real joy for me.
Once on the trail, it didn’t take me long to realize that I would need a reliable way to to preserve and share the thousands of photos I was collecting. That need propelled me to begin a search, which eventually led here to Blipfoto, where I have been posting my pictures since 2008. In addition to photography, I also love to write, and that convinced me to blog about the things I see and people I meet along the trail. Titled Seen Along the Trail, my blog can be found here.
Now, fully retired, blipping and blogging have become an important, and time-consuming, part of my life. If you, like me, spend your days trekking the trails, camera in hand, I hope you will ...
Come back often to join me for more blipping and blogging!
