Is there no start to this man's talents?

All but 2 of my first 299 Blips were taken on an iPhone; I really enjoyed trying to find ways to overcome the limitations of the camera to get a good image. My Dad once told me that creativity comes from battling restraint; my experience with my phone camera means I'd tend to agree.

That said, I'd been keen to add a "proper" camera to my portfolio; I'd wondered about a DSLR, but my experience with my bridge camera suggested I wouldn't easily take to carrying it around with me. I was thinking of Micro 4/3rd cameras, when the friend and colleague who got me into Blip suggested the Fuji X100. I was rather taken with the idea, and felt the fixed focal length was in keeping with my philosophy of "creativity through overcoming limitations". I love the feel of the camera in my hands, as well as the fact that someone born in the 30's would recognise it as a camera.

Life is busy, so blips can come in bursts with sporadic lapses...but I love this community too much to ever truly leave!
