I started to Blip in 2013 and found that blipping every day (now most days) really helped me hone my skills and also helped me look at the world around me differently. I find many Blips a real inspiration and although I don't get on the site as often as I would like I love to see what my blip friends are up to. I live with my husband Robin (Blip name is Longshadow) in Bourton on the Water and after finding that photography and messing about with cameras is what we enjoy more than anything (and with a background in technical product training) four years ago we started to offer people face to face tuition with their new DSLR cameras, in and around The Cotswolds. We can also do training at a distance via zoom.
My own passion is macro photography and I am delighted to have been a finalist in the International Garden Photographer of the Year Macro Art competition in 2017 and 2018 and to have been commended in the "Beauty of Plants" in 2019.
I can be contacted on email at alison_lawrence@btinternet.com and on instagram I am @alimacro2018.
Here is a link to a video we made on using a macro lens...
