I joined blip the day before leaving the UK to move to Russia in June 2011. I see it as a way to keep a record of life here, both for myself and for people back home, and to force myself to apply a bit more care and creativity when it comes to using a camera.
Why 'babushka'? Well, it was pretty much the only Russian word I knew when I came out here. I didn't know then that I pronounced it wrong though.
