I have been taking "serious" photos since 2009 when I bought my first DSLR after becoming a pensioner. I have since moved on to a bridge camera, a Fujifilm HS50 EXR as it is easier to carry around.

Although I make occasional forays to other locations, most of my pictures are taken in our garden which is large and has an abundance of wildlife.

I am truly blessed in that respect. I have a bird feeding station which I can see from my first floor window, and there is a wild area about 100 metres from the house with a pond. There are always birds there, and in the summer butterflies and dragonflies.
