n view of the uncertain times in Blipfoto land, I'm adding my email - I'd hate to lose touch with my blip friends if it all goes under - it's fiona.traducao@gmail.com. Meanwhile, hoping rescue efforts will prove successful.

I'm a one-time wanderer, born and raised in Britain, who has been gathering moss here in Rio for longer than I care to divulge.  I was introduced to blipfoto by barrioboy and of course became instantly obsessed with it. The photos and the stories the blip community post are inspiring and interesting and I find myself torn between a strong desire to improve my own technique and despair at the thought of ever being able to find the time and acquire the equipment to do so.

In the meantime, I'd like to borrow an expression from ArcLight+ (apologies ArcLight, I meant to ask your permission first), as my journal, for now, is one of happenstance, a diary of our everyday life.

Blip has opened my eyes to the world and my surroundings, but also to other people's worlds - and the warmth and generosity of the wonderful, global community.
