I’ve been taking photos every day for over eleven years, and posting one each day onto this site.
It started as a New Year’s resolution to take a photo every day for a year. After the first year I just kept on going.
There is a certain discipline - and routine - in doing this, and it does mean that I am not just taking a picture, I am looking too. And that often means learning. Surprisingly (to me at least) the journal side of Blipfoto has become part of what makes it fun.
The followers/following aspect of the site was a mystery to me when I started (I just thought this was a place to store photos), but I have found myself following a few other blippers, and that has added to the whole experience. The site does have a real community feel.
