The habitat of the lesser spotted five sign is amongst the scrubland and weeds often found in rural Britain at the sides of roads and railway tracks. A high incidence of injury amonst the young is mainly the result of abuse by other local indigenous teenage population and inadvertant damage by broken buckfast bottles.
