Connections

One week on and New Zealand's two degrees of separation has become very obvious. Everyone has lost family members, friends or acquaintances, or they know other people who have.

My son's boyhood friend called in for an hour or so. He has come from Australia to be with his family for a few days. His cousin was in the CTV Building.

I met a friend today who told me that her son had lost his best friend moments after they had parted from lunching together.

My daughter was acquainted with three of the known victims.
