Bad Annoying news: - Definitely did not ask for it

When she made the decision to cover the uprising live from Tahrir Square, it probably crossed Lara Logan's mind that she might be putting herself in grave danger. How could she have fully foreseen what happened to her? To have people, who sat in their safe little offices on this side of the world, pissing on about could have, should have and how she may have been asking for it is a good example of that which I despise the most about people, their smug, told-you-so-ness and lack of basic empathy for others.

Good and admirable news: - Heroes

The amount of respect and admiration I have for the Sea Shepherd Society can barely be put into words. Japan can take their 'whale research' - a thinly veiled lie and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. What possible justification, for research or other, does a country have for killing 945 whales? Absolutely none, least of all to eat them and use their parts. They are simply too large, too intelligent and too magnificent. Get with it, Japan.
