1984

I am referring to the book and not the year, although it is actually both if you want to be smart.

I loved this book when I first read it, sometime before 1984.

The image of big brother watching us everywhere seemed a little absurd and paranoid to me then, but now I wonder how far away from that we actually are?

Clearly we are not controlled by the state by the use of surveillance, but if you misbehave, someone, somewhere probably caught it on camera.

Is that not a good thing?
