The Golden Hour, at Bolton Abbey

A minute or two after walking into the Priory at Bolton Abbey, the late afternoon light streamed through the stained glass windows.

The altar was bathed in a colour-wash of defused sunlight. The flower paintings on the wall
were very unusual. They looked marvellous stretched across the wall, a change of look from the usual suffering Christ.
