Democracy at work.

This is a flock of starlings that flew over me as I was in the garden today. Its great to watch them, they seem to have no leader but fly by some kind of group democracy. They even flap and glide at the same times, hence this shot with them all in mid glide.

Or maybe I am wrong and they have some kind of complex Red Arrows communication going on, "Ok Red Leader Turn 70 degrees on the count of Three, One, Two Three, and Flap."

Or maybe I should keep my strange thoughts to myself before everyone thinks I am further around the bend than they already do . . . . .
