The Grand Canyon

We had to get up very early this morning to catch our helicopter flight into the Grand Canyon.

The whole experience was fantastic and we are so pleased we did it! After taking off we swooped over the Hoover Dam and the continued onto the Canyon. The pilot then landed in the bottom of the canyon where we had a champagne breakfast and a good look around before heading back.

The canyon is so vast and its very hard to get a sense of scale when you are in there, it was only when another helicopter passed high overhead but still not above the canyon rim that I realised just how deep we were!
