An early Easter egg - from Bali.

After a few wonderful Spring days, Winter has returned to Newburgh on Ythan, with lashing rain today and snow promised for tomorrow. It's a day to stay indoors and to think of warmer times and climes. So, in my mind I am off to Bali and since Easter is almost upon us my blip for today is an egg.

This goose egg was painted in Bali by a young artist of exceptional skill and with the steadiest set of hands that I have ever seen. He paints evocative Balinese scenes with the smallest of brushes, most consisting of little more than a single hair. Eat your heart out Carl Gustavovich Fabergé!
