The fable of the pig and the chicken

A bit of folk-art from Nova Scotia parodying the story of the committed pig and the involved chicken so popular with some motivational business speakers.

Think about the traditional, full British, breakfast with eggs and bacon and the relative contributions made by a chicken and a pig. The chicken was involved by providing the eggs but the pig was fully committed when it gave its all to provide the bacon.

This is one of those motivational stories that sounds reasonable when you first hear it but who on earth would rather be a 'pig' than a 'chicken', however good the salary?
