Sunbeams

Misty morning

There was a mist first thing but by midday it was verging on, dare I say it, HOT!
Not having felt any real warmth since last Autumn this was a treat! Layers of jackets, sweaters etc were peeled off and of course there were those who even ventured as far as bare arms at the supermarket. It is amazing how some people seem to dress from one extreme to the other when there is a change in the weather.

This is the lane which goes down to the farmyard below our house. It is fairly steep and the gate on the bend was purposely left open during the freeze-up as a safe getaway if Tim couldn't manage to slow down the tractor and trailer on the ice to take the corner. The lane was lethal despite the salt and grit we scattered over it. That seems unreal now as we don't normally get much snow in the winter.

Last WEA lecture this afternoon on Palmerston's coastal defences. In the autumn we will be studying the Cornish Artists.
