Lichens

Found this old tree stump being slowly consumed overtime by lichens. My interest in Lichens began in grade school science class. The astonishment for me is how long it takes for the lickens to slowly digest its host. What's even more so is how lickens will attach itself to rocks which eventually will turn into soil. Time means nothing to Lickens. We humans are the ones making time so important.
I started my 14 days off tonight. Can't wait to be home with wife and family and to be able to spend more time with my wonderful blip friends.
