Photos--Parc Floral Paris

This afternoon we visited the Parc Floral next to the Chateau de Vincennes, on the eastern outskirts of Paris. This blip shows a few of the photographs of nature in Paris exhibited there for a few months--to see them was the specific reason for our outing.

We had never been to the Parc Floral--and it was an experience in its own right--especially on a super-busy Sunday. The park is fairly large (next to the much larger Bois de Vincennes)--it's a sort of cross between a botanical garden and a conventional park.

The photographs exhibited displayed birds, animals and even insects around Paris, in city settings of one sort or another. Entitled "Architecture and Bio-diversity" it is sponsored by Natureparif, an organization that attempts to raise consciousness about the natural diversity which exists in the Paris Region.

This is obviously not a brilliant image, but it conveys the character of the park while showing a few of the photos mounted along the walkways. It also includes a very French detail: a couple in a passionate embrace in the middle of the path! (View them large.)
