PLANNING CHALLENGE
It's an ordinary plant pic but I hope this meets the challenge for "planning". It's the only time of year I do any serious planning.
These are hot from the garden centre's plastic tunnels so I'm planning to let them harden off for a few days. I planned to go the centre later in April, and will, but the day is so warm and bright, wild horses couldn't have kept me away. Other idiots, beguiled by the warmth, were milling around down there as well.
My biggest plan is to get somebody else to plant the plants apart from those that will go into huge pots. This is a good way to keep veggies close to the kitchen. By getting someone else to plant the things that go into the ground I plan to spare myself a backache and that's a cunning plan, right?
There's not much here, mostly herb garden replacements: spearmint, chives, oregano, variegated and plain thyme, purple sage, lettuces and the last three Aubretia plants they had. This is a new plant for Italy where varieties are very limited. I was reminded of Aubretia by Saffi's wonderful photographs. The bees were on the spot within minutes.
Yesterday's baggy breeks are resting in the charity bin at the supermarket along with more of their kind. My bum is encased in neat breeks today. There is nothing like a sneak pic to reveal what a slob you are.
I kept notes of the first 10 pics today but then abandoned the effort. This is the first one I took and it is straight from the camera, cropped.
For the record: + 17! Sunny! Humidity 36%. Perfect. The hall walls have been given first coat.
