Corydalis nudicaulis

The genus Corydalis is found throughout the Northern Hemisphere, but Eurasia is probably the richest species wise with a bunch of bulbous species being found from Europe to China. Many of the bulbous species are native to semiarid central Asia. This species is no exception.

China and the far east are very rich in bulbous and nonbulbous species. Some of the Chinese species are some of the bluest flowers on plant earth, even giving Meconopsis a run for their money.

Today I experimented with using a white and then black background for the flowers of Corydalis nudicaulis. I settled on this photo, let me know what you think please, as it is one of the first times I have used a background.
