Madeleines and fun with Kiki

Translated another recipe for madeleines from a French cookbook last night, and ended up with these lovely puffs of deliciousness: half the batch had shredded comté stirred in, half had chives and parsley. They accompanied a lovely white bean stew with tomatoes, lemon, parsley, and shallots.

I'm thankful for my friend visiting this week. We've had hours of happy talk about poetry, Buddhism, and other mysteries of life. It's always such a treat to spend time with her.
