last year's beauty

Busy today so not much time for photos but took the camera in to the garden for a few minutes whilst the tea was cooking.
I thought the leaves and weed on the pond might make a picture - they didn't but whilst trying I got this shot more-or-less by accident.
I leave a lot of stalks and things over winter to help the birds and insects and this is one pond plant stalk that was left, and survived all the snow.
